Michael Aminian

Founder and Director

Michael Aminian conceived of Zamyn several years ago when he came to realize that it would embody a journey that is personal, professional and intellectual.

Michael was born in Rafsanjan, in Southern Iran, and was educated in Britain and the US. Michael has worked as an advisor, commentator and communications consultant with organisations such as Chiat Day, Saatchi and Saatchi, Iraco and others on a number of projects involving the arts. He has also contributed to The Tehran Times, and Associated Press, and played a formative role in the development of the One World Festival.

Over the years he developed a conviction that art, psychoanalysis and academia provide important insights into the rapidly changing roles of multinational corporations in today's world. Zamyn is the result of that conviction. And Zamyn's unique position at the intersection of art, psychoanalysis, academia and the corporate world embodies an attempt to understand and articulate how the world is changing with globalisation.
