people > circle members >   Henrietta Moore   Henrietta Moore is Professor of Social Anthropology and former Deputy Director for research and external relations at the London School of Economics. A specialist in social and feminist theory, her current research is on the relationship between anthropology and psychoanalysis; this is part of a larger project examining the nature of symbolic action and thought in African and Melanesian societies. She worked at the universities of Cambridge and Kent before joining the LSE thirteen years ago. She has carried out extensive research and consultancy in Africa, including Kenya, Zambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Mauritius and Senegal.
