Zamyn produces an ongoing series of programmes that are designed to analyse and communicate, through a pertinent theme, how the activities and presence of leading corporations are impacting cultures.
For each of its programmes Zamyn identifies an economic sector that is at the forefront of reshaping and globalising cultures and works with this sector to explore the programme theme.
Zamyn's 2008-09 programme,
Currency, will explore the relationship between the Financial Markets and cultures, through a set of arts-based productions.
Zamyn's 2005-07 programme,
Thinking Aloud, addressed the role of culture as a major force in social, political and economic transformations - reconceptualising the links between culture and economic and social welfare. Produced as part of Zamyn's Research and Development period, this programme concluded with the publication of 'Cultural Politics in a Global Age: uncertainty, solidarity and innovation' ed. David Held and Henrietta L. Moore (2008).
This book inaugurates Zamyn's publications series and also contributes to
Perspectives.
